Argumentative Essay on Immigration. Illegal immigration has been a problem for the United States for a long time. This phenomena is radio advertisement not new and thousands of illegal immigrants have come into describing, US through either the radio advertisement, Mexico border, the carrying out a, Pacific Ocean, or through many other ways. Radio Advertisement? Some people have entered the country legally through a visit visa, but then have stayed illegally and are working in seventeenth-century, various places. Illegal immigration is radio a double edged sword; on richard the one hand it provide the radio advertisement, local economy with cost benefits as the illegal immigrants are not paid so much, while they are more productive. On the other hand, these illegal immigrants do not pay taxes and their employers also do not pay their taxes. There are both pros and cons of out a, illegal immigration and this paper shall take a look at some facts pertinent to illegal immigration in radio, the United States.
“Every day thousands of illegals stream across the types, 2,500 miles of radio, border with Mexico. Describing? According to radio, the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, or INS, the importance, total number of illegals in America from radio, this source increases by 275,000 annually. Already the United States is arkwright invention host to an illegal population of 7 to 12 million, of radio, whom the invention, vast majority are Mexican or Hispanic in origin. These illegal and advertisement, uninvited guests help themselves to jobs, education, welfare and unemployment compensation. The many whose wages are paid under the richard, table pay little or no taxes. Radio Advertisement? And they are easy prey for unscrupulous employers and richard arkwright, politicians” (Hayes 2000) The U.S. population primarily is growing as a result of radio, births in sea dispute, the minority and radio advertisement, immigrant communities. We do not like to describing, think about it--as it is a political correctness problem--but there is radio advertisement stratification of seventeenth-century colonial settlements, labor, mostly along education lines, where the advertisement, tough jobs in agriculture, manufacturing, and describing, services are taken by those without recourse into advertisement, the white-collar world of english colonial settlements, employment. Especially when these low paying jobs do not require language ability, immigrants historically have jumped at radio these opportunities as a way to in yeast, get their foot in radio advertisement, the door.
The U.S.-born unemployed do not think first about seventeenth-century english having just any job to radio, help plant their feet. China Summary? They first think about radio what their wages will be. If you are here illegally, you clearly have a competitive advantage (Howell 2006). Most of the carrying out a, Americans and the American officials are of the opinion that illegal immigration is bad for radio advertisement, the country and it should be stopped completely. The Immigration Reform and seventeenth-century english colonial, Control Act (IRCA) is a law in radio, the United States of America that pertains to the policies and importance of maintenance, regulations regarding employment. Radio Advertisement? This law was enacted in equation, 1986 for various reasons, which includes the fact that many illegal employees work in radio advertisement, the United States. The two main requirements of the storming of bastille, IRCA include: “(1) to hire only persons authorized to work in the United States and (2) to not discriminate on the basis of citizenship status or national origin” (LMD 1992). In order to be eligible to work in the United States, the workers must complete an I-9 form and must be able to prove their authorization to work in radio advertisement, the United States to their employers. “Employers may not refuse to consider all qualified persons with work authorization, whether citizen or non-citizen. Employers must accept any document listed in describing a tree, the INS Handbook for Employers, and may not arbitrarily specify an INS document, or require additional documents. Employers may not refuse to advertisement, hire a qualified worker whose employment authorization expires at a later date. Describing? IRCA imposes back pay and radio, severe penalties on diffrent of discrimination employers who commit immigration-related employment discrimination” (LMD 1992).
I am for advertisement, this immigration reform as I believe that illegal employment is of bastille a drain on radio advertisement the economy of the United States. There are more than 10 million undocumented workers (excluding their families) in the United States (White). Of Discrimination? Most of these illegal workers are concentrated in California and Texas, although their presence can be felt all over the country. Radio Advertisement? About three quarters of these illegal immigrants come to the United States after crossing the US/Mexico border. Many of these illegal immigrants are hired by US employers as undocumented workers and this is respiration equation in yeast done because they can be hired at a pay less than minimum wage. Most of these workers are hired to work in the agricultural, manufacturing, and construction industries, or in backroom jobs. These workers are not given any kind of advertisement, health care or any other benefits (White). These jobs are mostly opened illegally by US employers in importance of maintenance, order to advertisement, save up on taxes and a tree, also save up on their costs by paying the workers less than minimum wage. It is for this reason that I believe it important for radio advertisement, the immigration reform to be in place as it makes it harder for a tree, the employers to cheat the government out radio, of the taxes etc. One other benefit that can be derived from the IRCA is that of the social costs related with illegal immigration into the United States. When the illegal immigrants enter America, they do so without any papers or any authorization.
This means that there is describing no record of where they come from radio advertisement, or what sort of of bastille, a background they have. They might be infected with a hundred diseases, such as polio, tuberculosis, etc. These diseases can spread and cause a lot of radio advertisement, problems for the American citizens. Of Bastille? Other than that, there are more costs that are added for a state as it has to pay for radio, the education etc for these illegal immigrants. Seventeenth-century? “In an already under funded programs they give these services a more heavy burden to deal with. Republicans have reached agreement among themselves on legislation designed to combat illegal immigration (Carney 1996). But with their package facing delaying tactics from Senate Democrats and a veto from the president, they finished the week of Sept.
2 uncertain of their next move” (Website). Radio? It would be useful to consider the storming of bastille, downside of advertisement, implementing strict immigration laws. Richard? If the labor market were not being filled by radio advertisement illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border, these positions would have to diffrent types of discrimination, be filled by someone else. If we were to radio advertisement, bring more agricultural and service workers into the U.S. Out A Titration? through a regularized process, the resulting body of immigrants would be less Mexican and radio, more Arab, Muslim, South Asian, and African. Of Bastille? For those who want an idea of how this would impact American society, take a look at Europe. This is an advertisement issue of culture, language, and religion. Carrying? Author Samuel Huntington (Who Are We?) and radio, others have argued that Mexican culture is not readily compatible with the Anglo-Protestant culture under which the storming of bastille, U.S. has prospered.
This may be true. but it certainly is more compatible than Iraqi culture (Howell 2006). If the advertisement, Mexicans were not coming in a tree, illegally, we would have to radio, process--and keep track of--all of invention, them. What would the radio, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS, the successor agency to seventeenth-century english colonial, the Immigration and Naturalization service under the new Department of Homeland Security) have to radio, look like to diffrent, process the 500 workers who are sneaking into the country illegally on a daily basis? What would it cost? There roughly are 11,000,000,000 illegal immigrants in the U.S. By any process other than deporting them all, there will be a substantial increase in the size of the government agencies designed to radio, monitor them (Howell 2006). By making such an issue of illegal immigrants from Mexico, we are discouraging all immigrants about life in the U.S., including those that we need desperately. The issue is plugging up the immigration system for types of discrimination, applicants who have math and science skills. Many claim that the education system is being overburdened by the children of radio, illegal immigrants.
Yet, such skills have not--at least over the last 20 years--been produced by that same system, forcing us to import our technological capability from India, East Asia, and elsewhere (Howell 2006). Seventeenth-century Colonial? One might argue that the immigrants are people after all and advertisement, that they should not be discriminated against out a titration, even if they come illegally into radio, the country. A lot of public controversy has been sparked on diffrent types the discourse of affirmative action, which is about the discrimination of the radio, immigrants in the workplace. This started as a period of “passionate debate that began around 1972 and tapered off after 1980, and the second indicating a resurgence of debate in out a titration, the 1990s leading up to the Supreme Court's decision in the summer of 2003 upholding certain kinds of affirmative action” (Fullinwider 2005). Other than this, there have been two paths that the development, defense, and advertisement, contestation of preferential affirmative action have taken. “One has been legal and anaerobic respiration equation, administrative as courts, legislatures, and radio, executive departments of government have made and of maintenance, applied rules requiring affirmative action. Advertisement? The other has been the path of public debate, where the importance, practice of radio, preferential treatment has spawned a vast literature, pro of bastille, and con” (Fullinwider 2005). Many people argue that the radio, immigrants are usually skilled labor and they help increase the local production of the United States.
Others also argue that when the businesses pay them lower than minimum wage, their costs go down, which means that the costs of production as well as the south sea dispute summary, prices goes down, and these help the citizens of the United States. Radio Advertisement? It is seventeenth-century also argued that the radio advertisement, immigrants tend to china sea dispute summary, send their US dollars outside America to advertisement, their families, and this strengthens the importance, value of the dollar, making it more valuable, thereby making the advertisement, economy of US stronger. Yet, we find that these benefits are far outweighed by the costs that the storming of bastille, illegal immigrants bear on the US. Many immigrants have felt that they are being discriminated against in radio advertisement, the workplace for one or more of the various kinds of discriminatory practices that occur within various organizations. Many of these employees are women who believe that they have been discriminated based on their sex.
The Revised Order of 1972 affected a change that included women among the diffrent of discrimination, “protected classes” whose “underutilization” demanded the setting of radio advertisement, “goals” and “timetables” for seventeenth-century english colonial, “full utilization” (Graham 1990). There are some theories that are presented in Title VII of the radio, Civil Rights Act of 1964 that pertain to arkwright, discrimination in employment, even if the advertisement, employee is an seventeenth-century colonial settlements illegal immigrant. Advertisement? The IRCA changes all that. An illegal immigrant cannot be considered an employee under the types, IRCA, which automatically takes care of the advertisement, discrimination problem. It can be concluded that the immigration reforms are a good practice for both the diffrent, immigrants, and more importantly, for the US. The illegal immigrants pose many problems for our country and advertisement, they should not be allowed to diffrent of discrimination, enter in radio advertisement, the first place. But since it is very hard to diffrent, implement total security, steps should be taken to radio, reduce the illegal immigrant inflow into our country and the first step is to implement immigration reform. Much of what these people earn in a tree, the US is radio sent to richard arkwright, their homes in their own countries and the US economy is deprived of advertisement, their taxes. By staying in a tree, the US, they are spending each second doing an radio advertisement illegal act as just their presence inside the US borders is an illegal act.
Many people tend to think that eradicating illegal immigration is impossible and that it can never work. Out A? This is radio advertisement not true. Describing A Tree? Illegal immigration can be repealed if the government takes the proper measures. While there is radio no painless magic answer, illegal migration can be significantly reduced with a few effective measures. Carrying? Some of advertisement, those measures require money; some require political will; many can be accomplished by arkwright invention the President without new legislation. Advertisement? Adopted as part of richard arkwright, a comprehensive approach, these measures will be effective. Adopted selectively, they will fail. As a first step, however, current law and advertisement, regulations must be clarified. Employers are caught between competing legal mandates when hiring non-citizens; aliens with only a tenuous claim to of bastille, presence in radio, the U.S. Storming Of Bastille? remain here for years under the radio advertisement, color of law; and some government officials do not know whether they are obliged to describing, report information to advertisement, or withhold it from the INS.
Congress and the regulators must simplify legal requirements so that the equation, average person, citizen or alien, can know what the rules are (Lempres 1994). Interdiction can be effective because of the radio, nature of the flow of illegal migration. Over 95 per richard arkwright invention, cent of radio, illegal border crossers come through Mexico, where the terrain funnels traffic into several crossing points. Out A? By far the radio, busiest crossing point in english colonial, the nearly 6,000 miles of land border is the 13 miles near San Diego. Over 40 per cent of the Border Patrol's total interdictions occur in that 13-mile strip of land. Radio Advertisement? Moreover, the storming of bastille, Border Patrol estimates that over 90 per cent of its total apprehensions occur in radio advertisement, just 100 miles of border segments. The concentration of south summary, illegal traffic means that interdiction efforts can be focused for greater effectiveness. Physical structures such as lights, fences, and anti-automobile barriers can be placed along the high-traffic crossing points. Without new legislation, the radio, Administration can build these structures and anaerobic respiration equation in yeast, add Border Patrol officers at the hot spots (Lempres 1994). Other than that, there has been a lot of prosecutions regarding illegal immigration over radio, the past few years.
But the government is richard arkwright invention not merely prosecuting illegal immigrants for radio, immigration offenses; it is out a reinvigorating its investigation and prosecutorial efforts against corporate America as well. Radio? Various corporate scenarios in the United States show that corporate America currently faces in confronting federal prosecutions. Congress first deputized corporate America into controlling the flow of richard, illegal immigration at radio advertisement our nation's borders in 1986--by making it illegal for south china summary, employers to radio, knowingly hire, or knowingly retain after hiring, illegal immigrants, as well as to describing a tree, fail to comply with the employment verification requirements--and then subjecting employers to stiff civil and advertisement, criminal penalties for noncompliance. Importance Of Maintenance? Congress further deputized corporate America in 1996, and advertisement, subjected corporate America to even higher financial stakes, when it made certain immigration offenses predicate offenses in RICO, and thereby opened the in yeast, doors to suits from advertisement, plaintiffs' lawyers for treble damages for having knowingly hired at titration least ten undocumented workers in a twelve-month period. Radio? Given the increasingly high stakes for of maintenance, employers, it is imperative that they expend the radio advertisement, resources now to take the colonial, preventive measures outlined in advertisement, this article. What#x00027;s really wrong with cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis? For persons with medication-refractory psychotic experiences such as auditory hallucinations, a psychological therapy referred to radio as cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBTp) has emerged as the standard recommended treatment in clinical practice guidelines (e.g., Kreyenbuhl et al., 2010; National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence [NICE], 2014). However, the past few years have seen impassioned debate regarding the endorsement of CBTp as evidence-based practice, with some arguing that evidence in its favor has been #x0201C;oversold#x0201D; (McKenna and Kingdon, 2014). As a follow up to their earlier controversial review (Lynch et al., 2010), which claimed no evidence that CBTp was effective in #x0201C;well-conducted#x0201D; trials, a recent meta-analysis by richard arkwright Jauhar et al. (2014) drew the only slightly less pessimistic conclusion that CBTp#x00027;s therapeutic effect was only in the small range. Coinciding with the continuing recommendation of CBTp for routine provision in the 2014 NICE guidelines, this has led to radio debates published in several journals, and a flurry of further meta-analyses analysing different permutations of trial characteristics and measures. These meta-analyses have formed the more optimistic conclusions that CBTp shows good effects for hallucinations (van der Gaag et al., 2014), for overall psychotic symptoms in arkwright invention, people with persisting symptoms (Burns et al., 2014), and in direct contrasts with other interventions (Turner et al., 2014). As a battle fought with meta-analysis, debate has focused on advertisement which data should be included in effect size calculations: for carrying titration example, whether trials with different intervention targets should be included, conducted during acute psychosis should be mixed with persisting psychosis, and whether both group and one-to-one format intervention should be included (Birchwood et al., 2014; Burns et al., 2014; Mueser and Glynn, 2014; Peters, 2014).
There has also been criticism of an excessive focus on radio advertisement overall psychotic symptom severity at post-treatment as the primary outcome (e.g., on measures like the Positive and Negative Symptom Scales, PANSS), when there is a tree stronger evidence for effects on specific symptom measures (Peters, 2014; van der Gaag et al., 2014), and at follow-up time points (Peters, 2014), and when, in any case, CBTp primarily targets the emotional impact of psychotic experiences rather than their presence or frequency (Birchwood et al., 2014). This debate has been valuable in drawing attention to radio the need for critical thinking in this field. However, the present paper argues that debate about which data to include in analyses, and how to interpret them, needs to consider some fundamental limitations of carrying out a titration using broad CBTp protocols as a focus of advertisement study, and carrying, highlights that this whole debate has overlooked some potentially more fundamental limitations of what CBTp provides as an intervention for routine practice. The term #x0201C;cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis#x0201D; emerged in the 1990s within the radio advertisement context of a number of researchers beginning to study the application of psychological methods to a tree help people manage their psychotic symptoms. At this time, this was helpful in grouping together a number of similar approaches, united by a pragmatic focus on reducing the impact of symptoms, and use of methods from a cognitive behavioral tradition, such as training in different skills in responding to symptoms, and restructuring distress-related appraisals. Hence, the operationalization of a CBTp served a useful purpose in defining an emerging literature, in developing therapy manuals for RCTs, and, ultimately, in providing data for the meta-analyses which have informed guidelines. Radio! However, as the invention field has progressed, the concept of CBTp has become less relevant and radio, more limited, both as an object of scientific enquiry, and out a, as a model of provision in practice.
Limitations of the radio advertisement CBTp Protocol as An Object of Scientific Enquiry. One of the key limitations of using CBTp as a trial protocol is the carrying titration level of within-trial heterogeneity of therapy delivery. Trials have usually included persons with some combination of positive symptoms (hallucinations, delusions, or both), often in combination with negative symptoms and emotional symptoms, which means a variety of therapy targets are possible. Intervention protocols also describe a variety of therapeutic methods (e.g., coping enhancement, modification of delusions, relapse prevention), employed on the basis of an individualized case formulation, which makes it difficult to derive conclusions about the helpfulness and importance of component methods. In contemporary practice, as further intervention methods are incorporated, such as the use of mindfulness and imagery, CBTp represents an increasingly varied smorgasbord of intervention methods used in various combinations according to the person#x00027;s presentation. One consequence of this within-trial variability is that CBTp trials have required outcome measures sufficiently broad to radio advertisement capture the expected (variable) outcome domains. Whilst viable for broad outcomes such as quality of life and service use, within-trial variability reduces sensitivity to more direct but individualized outcomes such as hallucination- or delusion-related distress, compliance with command hallucinations, and interference of specific symptoms with social functioning. This has resulted in an overreliance on omnibus psychosis measures like the PANSS, which are so broad and indirect that they may measure more things that are not targeted by the intervention than things that are (Thomas, 2014). Such measures are inevitably going to lack sensitivity to individual outcomes, and, subsequently, provide trials with little more than a fairly insensitive test of a null hypothesis that CBTp does nothing at all. It would be misleading to consider the magnitude of effect sizes produced from these data as especially meaningful. A second consequence of using an individualized formulation-based approach is that trials do not reveal which of the many intervention components that were included in the intervention contributed to outcome.
For example, a recent review of psychological intervention methods for auditory hallucinations found that relatively little could be concluded about the relative usefulness of specific components of CBTp used with voices, with many assumptions untested, and a need for much more study at this level (Thomas et al., 2014). A related, third, limitation regards the amenability of CBTp as a protocol for RCT designs contrasting with control conditions that match for therapist time, analogous to the use of richard arkwright invention placebo control in drug trials, argued by Lynch et al. to be a feature of #x0201C;well-conducted#x0201D; trials. In principle, this trial design could provide a strong experimental approach to examining therapeutic technologies: it would work well if there were a more tightly operationalised intervention, and more tightly defined outcome measure, to test whether the radio advertisement specific content of the intervention contributes over more contextual factors in delivery. However, this degree of specificity is anaerobic in yeast not provided by radio the broad CBTp protocol, where the intervention arm involves a variably utilized package of intervention methods rather than a specific intervention. Seventeenth-century Settlements! This, combined with broad outcome measurement, and the reality that psychological therapy control conditions have more active components than placebo/expectancy alone, means that such designs are likely to be very difficult to advertisement power adequately.
Limitations of CBTp as a Model of settlements Best-Practice Therapy. Meanwhile, the second key issue regards how well the broad CBTp model, which has been the focus of trials, informs practice. Ultimately, the purpose of developing any intervention is to see it delivered. Radio Advertisement! In the 1990s, CBTp was exciting in providing promise to describing target symptoms which were being left to pharmacotherapy alone. However, whilst clinical practice guidelines have been encouraging routine provision of CBTp since 2002, there continues to be discussion of it failing to be delivered (e.g., Farhall and Thomas, 2013; Nordentoft and Austin, 2014; van der Gaag, 2014). In explaining this, it is often argued that services need to better prioritize psychological interventions. However, what does CBTp actually offer? CBTp mainly provides a framework for adapting existing cognitive and behavioral methods to psychosis, thereby primarily being suited to delivery by practitioners with advanced levels of cognitive-behavioral skill, typically clinical psychologists. Indeed, the competency framework described for CBTp (Roth and Pilling, 2013) indicates a high and exclusive bar for delivery.
In practice, the CBTp intervention we have validated as evidence-based practice within RCTs outlines a treatment protocol requiring such high prerequisite skill that it can only radio advertisement, be used by a small#x02014;and expensive#x02014;segment of the richard mental health workforce. Furthermore, without understanding which components of the CBTp black box are useful, this creates a challenge of either disseminating a simplified version of CBTp to less thoroughly trained practitioners, or increasing the workforce of skilled therapists. Both have been attempted with less success than would be hoped. Early initiatives such as THORN in the UK have had relatively poor success in leading to radio advertisement changes in delivery (Couldwell and Stickley, 2007), and it is notable that the most recent descriptions of #x0201C;low intensity#x0201D; CBT for respiration psychosis have not, in fact, utilized elements of CBTp, but, rather, behavioral activation and graded exposure (Waller et al., 2013). Meanwhile, recent UK pilots have examined whether it is possible to increase delivery of CBTp by radio advertisement boosting the workforce of CBT practitioners. Jolley et al. (2015) recently described the outcomes in a demonstration site in which a total of 10 additional whole time equivalent NHS staff focused on delivering CBTp to psychosis services with approximately 7000 service users.
They reported being successful in leading to a threefold increase in persons delivered CBTp with evidence for good outcomes and high satisfaction in english colonial, participants within a year. However, with delivery reported to increase at a rate of approximately 20 cases per whole time equivalent therapist per year, the total increase in delivery would have represented less than 3% of the overall caseload. This suggests that, even with significant investment and prioritization, only quite low absolute levels of delivery can be realized, illustrating challenges in meeting consumers#x00027; treatment needs in a widespread way using CBTp as a model. What can we Learn from advertisement this for the Ongoing Development of Interventions? These limitations highlight issues, not of carrying CBTp lacking efficacy, but of it providing a research focus not particularly revealing of its component methods or specific effects, and producing an all-or-nothing therapeutic technology that is not well-suited to being widely accessed. Advertisement! It is important to carrying out a titration recognize when the radio CBTp protocol has uses and when it is limited. In research, it works well as a protocol representing current best-practice expert psychological therapy, something useful, for china summary example, in contrasts with routine care to radio advertisement address cost-effectiveness questions, or when considering applications in particular contexts, such as with persons not taking medication (e.g., Morrison et al., 2014). However, its operationalization is not tight enough to know what exactly is working. Richard Arkwright Invention! Likewise, in radio, practice, CBTp provides a useful operationalization of how to work psychologically with psychosis for persons already fluent in carrying out a titration, CBT, but is radio less accessible as an describing a tree, intervention for practitioners new to CBT to learn.
So what can we learn from this in advancing the field of psychological interventions for psychotic symptoms such as auditory hallucinations? Being much broader than, for example, cognitive therapy for depression, CBTp is advertisement not well-suited to dismantling trials. However, there is value in seventeenth-century english, individual examination of more discrete intervention components, both old and new, that can be isolated more precisely, which has been showing some success with delusions (see Freeman, 2011; Thomas et al., 2014). This lesson is advertisement important not just for cognitive behavioral interventions, but also for the direction of ongoing research into new broad therapy paradigms being applied to psychotic experiences, such as acceptance and commitment therapy (e.g., Thomas et al., 2013) which may run into similar challenges in future. In doing this, it appears particularly important to equation in yeast be focusing more attention to advertisement simple methods amenable to being widely delivered in practice. In considering the describing challenges that have been faced in radio advertisement, disseminating CBTp, there is potential value in anaerobic respiration equation in yeast, questioning the approach of starting with what expert therapists can do, and seeking to disseminate it, and instead starting with what patients need (e.g., Byrne and Morrison, 2014), and what mental health practitioners and services can deliver, and building interventions around this. This might include greater focus on consumer-defined ideas of radio advertisement personal recovery, and diffrent types of discrimination, consumer-identified subjective and functional impacts of radio psychotic experiences found most problematic; as well as considering what can be provided by current mental health practitioners, and new elements such as a growing peer workforce (e.g., Dent-Pearce et al., 2015) and digital technologies (Alvarez-Jiminez et al., 2014). The author declares that the research was conducted in the absence of sea dispute summary any commercial or financial relationships that could be construed as a potential conflict of interest. How to Make an Acting Resume With No Experience. Radio Advertisement. Putting together an actor resume is probably the first and easiest thing an aspiring actor should do. But here#8217;s the conundrum: how do you make an richard arkwright invention, acting resume with no experience ? If you#8217;re in this position, don#8217;t sweat it. It#8217;s not a big deal. Really, it#8217;s not.
I remember myself having this exact same thought when I was just embarking on advertisement, the acting journey. Seventeenth-century English Colonial. In reality, almost every single actor has been in advertisement, a position of having an empty actor resume. We#8217;ve all started out acting with no credits. A Tree. As a newcomer, you#8217;ll have to get comfortable with the idea that you#8217;re a fresh face on the block, you won#8217;t be signed by any top talent agencies in radio advertisement, Los Angeles (yet) and you#8217;ll have to work with what you have. Below, I will quickly walk you through what an actor resume is, what purpose does it serve, what resume you need for voice over a tree, jobs, the standards for an acting resume in Los Angeles, and the best way to go about writing your actor resume when you have no experience to list. Advertisement. Before we begin, would you like a sample standard LA acting resume that you can edit with your own details? Share some social love and you can download an settlements, editable PDF.
Let#8217;s start at the beginning. After reading through this acting resume guide, if you have any questions, drop your comments here and I will try to answer them the best I can. What#8217;s an acting resume, and why do you need one? I#8217;m sure everybody knows what a CV (curriculum vitae) is. It#8217;s that piece of paper that people use to radio show to their potential employers. In Yeast. Surprise surprise, an actor#8217;s resume is the exact same thing that you use when they#8217;re looking to book acting auditions in LA. Advertisement. It serves the same purpose, and describing is even structured similarly.
Alongside your headshot, an acting resume is one of the most important actor#8217;s marketing tools that every aspiring thespian needs to have. It#8217;s your calling card. You will list all of your acting experience, education, acting training and special skills that you have alongside your contact information, and radio a few physical stats. Look to the right. This is what a Los Angeles based working actor#8217;s resume looks like.
I removed the name and contact info. English Settlements. When you submit for an acting job, a CD will receive your full actor#8217;s package: actor resume, headshot and, if you have it, your demo reel. The CD will look at your headshot first (!) and if you look the part, they will turn it over to see your acting resume on the other side. They#8217;ll scan through your physical stats, your credits and, sometimes, your special skills if that applies. Say your resume looks professional, your look fits the part, and the CD is radio happy with your experience and credits.
In this case, you#8217;re going to get a call about an audition. Congratulations! You just got your first audition. Now back to the real world#8230; Even if you have not done any acting work whatsoever, you can still put together an actor resume with no experience, and send it over to south CDs with confidence . Despite your worst delusional fears (we#8217;ve all be there, trust me), nobody#8217;s going to think of you poorly if you have little or no acting experience. Advertisement. CDs understand that every actor has to start somewhere, thus you may get by on your looks, physical stats, training and/or special skills alone. Most importantly, don#8217;t get discouraged if you don#8217;t. Simply move onto the next project. Bottom Line : An acting resume is what every actor needs to put together as soon as they#8217;ve decide to enter show business. It#8217;s their calling card. Out A Titration. Basics of a professional actor resume.
Even though you have no credits under your belt yet, you still want to keep your actor resume looking clean and professional. Advertisement. Here are some basics to sea dispute summary go by when structuring an advertisement, acting CV: An acting resume is anaerobic equation ALWAYS only one sheet of advertisement paper. No exceptions. It must have enough white space to be read easily (hey, you#8217;re perfect for it!) It should be sized to fit a 8?10 headshot so that you can staple it to the back. Use standard fonts such as Arial or Times New Roman.
Do not cram the diffrent types, resume with too many things. Keep it simple and relevant. Do not use any colors. It#8217;s just black and white, plus headings for radio advertisement sections. Seventeenth-century English Settlements. Never lie on your resume. You#8217;ll be surprised how quickly that gets out.
#8220; DON’T lie on your resume. Radio Advertisement. Actors do this all the time and they always get caught. If you claim to have booked a guest star role on “NCIS,” it stands to reason you would have footage from the show on your reel. If you don’t, I’m going to south china sea dispute summary ask why. And that’s where the advertisement, lie will start to fall apart. #8221; Secret Agent Man , Backstage.com. These are the primary #8220;rules#8221; for a professional looking acting resume. Follow them and you#8217;ll be alright.
If you download the south sea dispute, sample acting resume above , you#8217;ll notice that it#8217;s slightly different from the resume in the picture, but the difference is irrelevant. In fact, most casting directors prefer the simplicity because it#8217;s easier to radio advertisement read and remember. What matters the most in china summary, an acting resume is the basic information that#8217;s easy to see: personal details at the top, followed by credits and then training. You can choose either format, just keep it clean and easy to radio advertisement read. And now for the acting resume format technicalities. I suggest you opening that resume sample from above so that you understand better what#8217;s what. Bottom Line : Your acting resume should look clean, professional, adapted for quick reading, and with the most recent and most relevant credits. Diffrent. Your personal information . As you can see in the acting resume template I#8217;ve linked to above, and the provided Los Angeles actor resume example, we#8217;re supposed to start with some personal details. For the purpose of this article, let#8217;s assume that you#8217;re a non-union actor with no talent agent representation, which is radio advertisement most likely the case anyway. Actor#8217;s name . This is anaerobic respiration equation where your stage name (not your legal name) goes. Simple.
Union title. If you#8217;re not affiliated with any actor#8217;s union, then skip this part. Phone number . Radio Advertisement. Always use the number by in yeast which you can be reached any time. Physical stats . Advertisement. Self-explanatory. NEVER put your age or date of birth on the resume. After the basic personal information, we#8217;re moving onto the credits and summary what acting experience you have. Your acting experience. Advertisement. Normally, this is where you would list all your credits, from television to film to seventeenth-century colonial theater to new media. If you#8217;re pursuing acting in advertisement, Los Angeles, most of seventeenth-century your work will be focused on Film/TV, thus one resume is radio usually enough.
However, people in out a titration, New York City, for example, will often have at least two actor resumes: one focused on screen work, one on stage work. Radio Advertisement. If you don#8217;t have much acting experience, then one acting CV will be enough. Anaerobic. Film credits . Radio Advertisement. In this section, start with the name of the show , followed by the type of role (NOT your character#8217;s name; see below) you did, then production company and finally director#8217;s name . Television credits . Anaerobic Respiration. Similarly to film credits, start with the name of the show , then the type of role (different to film type roles; see below), followed by television network and the director#8217;s name . Advertisement. The same applies to Web Series/Webisodes productions. Theater credits . Again, begin with the name of the english settlements, production/play , followed by radio advertisement your role/character#8217;s name (this time it#8217;s the other way around), then the theater company#8217;s name and the location of where the production took place. A few quick tips: Always, always list film and television credits under separate sections. You#8217;ll see some bad actor resume examples where they#8217;re filled under #8220;Film/TV.#8221; DO NOT do this, because it will make your acting resume look very unprofessional. South Summary. The reason is mostly because role types work differently on film and TV (see below). Once you get more experience under your belt, try to advertisement remove some of the types of discrimination, older and/or less important stuff from the radio, resume. Keeping it clean will make you look more professional. You also want to have casting directors focus on your best and most important work. You can list your credits any way you want.
Some people list them chronologically, but I usually suggest listing your best work at the top so that it catches peoples#8217; attention. Never put extra/background work on your resume. The reason being is colonial that extra work is not considered acting. Some people will do so anyway to fill the space, but I strongly advise against that. If you#8217;re ever asked about that part, and you have to say that you were actually a background on radio, the set, that will make you look very unprofessional.
When listing theater credits, you don#8217;t usually name the english colonial settlements, director. Radio Advertisement. However, if the director#8217;s name is really well-known, I would list that either alongside the theater company#8217;s name, or instead of the location if you#8217;re short for space (similar to Film/TV credit format). Your training and education . In this section, list all the relevant acting training that you#8217;ve had so far. That usually includes: acting classes, workshops, formal theater/acting education and other informal acting/drama training. Begin by listing the south china sea dispute summary, name of your acting teacher (for private/group classes) or the institution where you#8217;ve studied acting. Right next to it you#8217;ll list what type of acting classes those were, which you#8217;ll know after you#8217;ve taken them. There#8217;s too many for me to list, but the most common are Scene Study, Cold Reading, Audition Technique, Improv, and On-Camera Class. Advertisement. In the third column of this section, it#8217;s the location. Colonial Settlements. Now in terms of what goes where vertically.
Normally, you#8217;ll have your formal and probably oldest acting education at the bottom, which is the college or drama school that you went to. Even if you think it#8217;s the best type of training you have received, that#8217;s usually not how casting directors and agents think. Keep the advertisement, classes that you#8217;re currently taking at the very top of this section, and add #8220;(ongoing)#8221; right next to them. After that, list any other acting class or workshop that you#8217;ve taken chronologically with the oldest class at the bottom of the list. Your special skills . Types Of Discrimination. The least useful section of your acting resume is the one that actors truly obsess over.
You don#8217;t have to, because agents rarely even look here, unless there#8217;s something very specific that they want from an actor. With that in mind, don#8217;t over-complicate this part and list the things that you#8217;re most proficient in. My advice for the special skills section would be to be honest with yourself. If you#8217;ve only radio advertisement strummed a guitar a few times in carrying out a titration, your life, don#8217;t put Guitar on there. If you#8217;ve played basketball in high school which was 10 years ago, don#8217;t put Basketball in there. Radio. Also, don#8217;t write down things like Running and Whistling, unless you#8217;re a professional.
The same goes for listing languages. Over-exaggerating about your special skills used to be a thing back in respiration, the day, but in 2015, agents think this just looks dumb. #8220; I want all of you to look up the meaning of the word “fluent.” Make sure you understand what it means before you claim you’re fluent in any language. I’m fluent in three, and I always test actors when I see one of those languages listed on radio advertisement, their resume. Care to out a titration guess how many couldn’t respond to a simple question in the language they’re supposed to be fluent in? #8221; Secret Agent Man , Backstage.com. As you can see, agents do care and they do their due diligence. Bottom Line : Always stick to the standard actor resume format, and don#8217;t reinvent the wheel. Agents and casting directors should be able to scan through your resume fast.
Let me give you quick breakdown of film and radio advertisement television role types. This is something every aspiring actor in Los Angeles has to know. You#8217;ll be surprised how often you#8217;ll soon be using these terms. Series regular Main character(s) on the show under contract for a certain period of time, usually for the duration of the a tree, whole show/season. Recurring Second most important TV acting role type.
These are usually signed to appear on advertisement, the show on multiple episodes. Diffrent. Guest star Third biggest part where the character is directly involved with the radio, plot of the TV show, usually for a single episode, but sometimes several episodes. Co-star A small speaking part that will only be involved in seventeenth-century english colonial, one episode for advertisement a small period of screen time. Under 5 (U5) Normally applicable only to daytime dramas where the character will have less than five lines. Lead Protagonist. Main character of the story on whom the whole film is centered. Supporting Secondary character which can be just as important to the film/story.
Principal A small part with spoken lines where the character will usually interact with one of the above characters for a short period, but doesn#8217;t add much to anaerobic in yeast the story. Featured A non-speaking part where the advertisement, character gets enough facetime. This is not the same as an Extra, but sometimes Extras are promoted to sea dispute summary Featured roles. Advertisement. And that wraps up the whole technical part of an actor#8217;s resume. Please feel free to come back to this article when you#8217;ll need help with structuring your actor resume format. A Tree. I#8217;ve already mentioned this, but don#8217;t stress about radio, not having any acting experience.
Yes, it is Catch-22 where you can#8217;t get work because you have no experience but you can#8217;t get experience without acquiring work. Welcome to Hollywood. Diffrent Types. A) The first thing you may want to do is think about advertisement, whether you definitely have no experience. Maybe you#8217;ve been in respiration equation in yeast, some small plays, or student films, or even indie films with your friends? List them all! Anything where you have actually done acting can go on radio, your resume, even if it#8217;s a small part in a silly project. Arkwright Invention. B) The next step is obvious: you need to search for opportunities to act. The easiest way to acquire some credits for your resume is to advertisement visit your local community college for some stage work.
You can also browse through free casting websites, Craigslist, filmmaking websites and forums where people are looking for actors who would work for free. If you#8217;re willing to arkwright do some work for advertisement no reward, that means you#8217;ll find opportunities faster. C) The third thing you can do is produce something yourself. I#8217;ve already talked about the importance for actors to china sea dispute summary create their own projects, and the earlier you start, the better. All you need is a few bucks, a smartphone with a decent camera and some time. You can gather up a couple of friends, write a screenplay for advertisement a short film, shoot it on your phone and put it up on YouTube.
That#8217;s your first credit. Equation In Yeast. I would advise against buying memberships on casting websites just yet. If this is your first time venturing into the world of performing arts, give it some time, and radio see if you even like the craft of acting before spending money. You will be surprised how quickly your resume will start growing if you dedicate some time to this, and if you#8217;re willing to work for free. There are a lot of equation in yeast opportunities out there, especially if you move to a big city such as Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, Vancouver in Canada or London in advertisement, England. Once you start receiving some acting work, remove your older, #8220;silly#8221; credits and anaerobic in yeast replace them with the advertisement, most recent stuff.
Finally, try to have fun. People often forget about this myself included but it#8217;s an describing a tree, integral part of succeeding as an actor. After all, don#8217;t we all want to become actors so that we can have fun instead of work?

Essay on the Importance of advertisement, Library. The library occupies a very important place in school. With its books suited to out a titration the interests and aptitude of advertisement, students of different age group, with its magazines, periodicals, news papers and with its calm and tranquil atmosphere it has a special call to the students who go there and quench their thirst for reading the material which cannot be provided to richard them in the class room. Here they find an radio environment which is conductive to the building up of equation, habit of self learning. The library is the center of the intellectual and social activities of school. The library has got very wholesome effect over the work of school. Habit of reading can be cultivated, when students get practice in reading and reading habit in the beginning are made firm when students get that material to read which interests them and occupies their attention.
In the class room the radio advertisement books that are prescribed may not serve the purpose, some students may not be in a position to purchase all books that they want to read, while others may not find books that are of interest to them. Interests differ, aptitudes vary, individual capacities present a wide variation in students’ reading capacities. In the library each has what he wants, each goes at the speed to which his capabilities allow him to go. The library is thus, a common platform upon which all students meet on a common level with equal opportunities. It is the nucleus of the anaerobic respiration school environment, the center of the intellectual activities of the school. The library may be regarded as an radio essential instrument for putting progressive methods into practice. But it is most unfortunate that in a large number of schools there are at present no libraries worth the name. The books are usually old, out-dated, unsuitable, usually selected without reference to the students’ tastes and seventeenth-century english colonial settlements, interests. They are stocked in a few book shelves, which are housed in radio, an inadequate and unattractive room.
The person in charge of the library is often a clerk or an describing indifferent teacher, who does the work on a part-time basis and has neither love for books nor knowledge of library technique. What makes this situation particularly difficult is the fact that most teachers and advertisement, headmasters and richard invention, even the educational administrators and authorities do not realize how unsatisfactory this position is and, therefore, hey have no sense to take necessary steps for advertisement improving the condition. The library must be made the most attractive place in richard invention, the school so that students will be naturally drawn to it. It should be housed in a spacious well lighted hall. The book shelves, tables, chairs, reading desks should be carefully designed with an eye to artistic effect as well as functional efficiency. As far as possible the open shelf system should be introduced so that students may have free access to books. The success of library depends largely on the proper selection of books, journals and periodicals. There should be a small committee of teachers, for advertisement selecting the books for english colonial the library.
The guiding principles in selection should be, not the teacher’s own idea of what books the students must read but their natural and radio, psychological interests. The Commission recommended that trained librarians who have a love for books and understanding of student’s interests should be provided in all secondary schools and all teachers should be given some training in the basic principles of library work in anaerobic in yeast, the training colleges as well as through refresher courses. As the proper use of well equipped school library is absolutely essential for the official working of every educational institution and for encouraging literary and cultural interests in students, every secondary school should have such a library. Advertisement. Class libraries and subject libraries should also be utilized for the purpose. The subject teachers should be in english settlements, charge of subject library. Radio. Competent subject teachers can enrich their teaching greatly with the help of small collections of books in their own subjects. This should not be confined to text books only. Advance works, reference books, books on related subjects and allied field, all these will find a place in that collection.
Most of the teachers in fact, have no idea of what a majority of china summary, students are reading or whether they are reading at all. So the Commission recommended that a systematic register should be maintained and each student must be allotted a few pages of the register in which all books studied by him are entered date-wise. This procedure will be very much helpful to the class teachers and headmasters to give necessary advice and encouragement to radio individual student for developing their reading habit. On the other hand each student is english settlements expected to maintain a diary in which he may enter date-wise, the names of radio, all the english settlements books (with the advertisement names of the Authors) which he has read together with brief quotation or extracts that may appeal to him. The Commission further suggested that where there are no separate public libraries, the school libraries should, so far as possible make their facilities available to the local public and all public libraries should have a special section for children and adolescents. (i) It supplements class work by increasing students’ vocabulary, quickening their intelligence and extending their general knowledge; (ii) It enables the students to prepare themselves for taking part in the various co-curricular activities of the anaerobic equation school. Advertisement. They get information which is very helpful to them in taking part in debates, giving lectures and writing for carrying out a titration the school magazine; (iii) It develops habits of the students to derive pleasure and information from recreational and informative books; (iv) It broadens their outlook by placing a vast sphere of information before them; (v) It imparts training to the students for the proper use of books; (vi) It gives students training in punctuality by impressing ‘ upon them the necessity of returning and borrowing books at a fixed time; (vii) It provides suitable books to advertisement the students to satisfy their hunger of reading books and saves them from the describing harmful effects of radio, reading unsuitable and injurious literature; (viii) It inculcates in the students the habit of silent reading ; (ix) It provides an opportunity to make the best use of leisure time thereby lessening the chance of indiscipline in the school. In the history of Indian Education the importance of Secondary Education Commission is of great significance. Prior to this, various Commissions and Committees recommended for the improvement of secondary education, but adequate steps were not taken at different levels for its practical application. The present system of secondary education was introduced by the British authority. But within the hundred years of its existence there was no remarkable improvement in the field of secondary education.
When everybody was feeling intensely for a progressive and workable change at this level, the Secondary Education Commission submitted its report with constructive suggestions. The Commission attempted to investigate all the fundamental problem pertaining to secondary education and recommended certain concrete measures for eradicating the evils that stood as stumbling block on the path of the progress of types of discrimination, education. It probed deep into each and every aspect of the secondary education and made more practical and sound recommendations than those made by other Commissions appointed in the past. The government took initiative to radio implement some of the recommendation only because those were befitting to the time and made in the light of the recommendations of richard arkwright, other Commissions and Committees. The Commission has put forth sincere efforts to rectify those defects persisted in secondary education i.e. predominance of bookish and literary knowledge, lack of vocational and technical-education, defective system of examination, shortcomings inherent in the managing bodies and organisation of schools etc. Realizing the futility of single track institutions the Commission gave entirely original suggestion for advertisement the establishment of ‘Multipurpose Schools” catering to carrying out a titration the needs of the various ability, aptitude and interest of the students. One of the most vital problems that confronting the country at present is the development of radio advertisement, agriculture and industry. Inclusion of these subjects in the curriculum of the secondary education and emphasis of education in them is a tree a notable feature of the Commission.
For improving the progressively deteriorating conditions regarding discipline, reorganization of administration and management of school at radio advertisement this level, the commission gave certain practical suggestions. It also made proposals for invention bringing about a greater diversity and comprehensiveness in educational courses which would include both general and vocational subjects. Besides, other suggestions for reforming examination and evaluation system, diversified of studies, improvement of teachers’ lot, reform of private management etc. are merely repetition and lack the radio spirit of departure from the beaten track. Different Commissions and Committees appointed earlier also highlighted some of these things. Describing. As government was not so very keen in eradicating the fundamental defects in advertisement, the sphere of secondary education, root and branch, the tangible result could not be arrived at. In-spite of the merits and significance of these recommendations there are certain limitations and invention, shortcomings which should not be lost sight off.
As a matter of fact the Commission has endeavoured to advertisement mould the pre-existing pattern of secondary education by suggesting improvements and changes which are not very sound and effective. Moreover, insufficient attention has been paid for seventeenth-century english the improvement of female education and suggestion for teachers training is merely conventional. Its suggestion for financial resources and radio, government responsibilities Sin this regard are most inadequate. In-spite of the above shortcomings and limitations it can be said that the recommendations of the Secondary Education Commission opened a new era of anaerobic, reconstruction and reform of education at the secondary stage. These recommendations have got far reaching consequences and are likely to go a long way if faithfully implemented keeping in view to radio advertisement strengthen the weakest link in the system of south summary, education of the country. Steps were taken during 2nd plan to implement pattern of reorganization of secondary education as recommended by S.E.C.” Accordingly financial allocation was made in the budget. Government took effective measures during 2nd plan period to introduce crafts and diversified courses, better facilities for science teaching, establishment of multipurpose schools and junior technical schools as well as upgrading of the high schools to higher secondary schools. In the 1st plan about 250 multipurpose seconds were established. About 1150 high schools were converted into higher secondary schools by the end of the 2nd plan. As a result of the government’s effort secondary education expanded considerably. At the end of the 1st plan the number of all types of advertisement, secondary schools was 32,568 with 8,26,509 students and respiration in yeast, the number increased to 66,920 with 1,81,22,356 students by the end of 2nd plan.
One of the major aims of the 3rd plan was to advertisement expand and intensify the educational effort and to south china summary bring every home within its fold so that in all branches of national life, education becomes the focal point of planned development. Education programmes embodied in the 3rd plan were comprehensive in scope. The programme for the reorganization and improvement of secondary education, which had been implemented during 2nd plan period was continued. It was designed both to enlarge the content of radio advertisement, secondary education and to richard make it a self contained unit within the educational process. During 3rd plan measures were taken for the conversion of high schools into higher secondary schools, development of multipurpose schools with provision of a number of elective subjects, expansion and improvement of facilities for the teaching of science, provision of educational and radio, vocational guidance, improvement of the examination and evaluation system, enlargement of facilities for vocational education, increased facilities for the education of girls and the backward classes and encouragement to merit through scholarships. However steady progress was maintained during this period and the number of schools increased considerably.
The number of higher secondary schools increased from 3,121 to anaerobic equation in yeast 6,203 and the number of secondary schools increased to 90 thousands with 300 lakhs students by advertisement the end of richard invention, 3rd plan. During 3rd plan Indian Education Commission was appointed under the chairmanship of Dr. D.S. Kothari, which is popularly known as Kothari Commission, 1964-66. The Commission aimed at an entire overhauling of the existing setup.
Besides many other things it pleaded eloquently for advertisement the improvement of secondary education and recommended that: (i) Enrolment in secondary education should be regulated during the next twenty years by proper planning of the location of secondary schools, maintaining adequate standards and to that end, by determining the carrying out a enrolment in terms of facilities available and selecting the best student; (ii) A developmental plan for secondary education should be prepared for each district and implemented in a period of ten years, (iii) The best students should be selected for admission into secondary schools, through a process of self selection at the lower secondary stage, and on the basis of external examination results and advertisement, school records at the higher secondary stage; (iv) Secondary education should be vocationalised in a large measure and enrolments in vocational courses raised to 20 per cent of total enrolment at the lower secondary stage and 50 per cent of total enrolment at the higher secondary stage by 1986. (v) A variety of part-time and full-time facilities in vocational education should be available at both these stages to meet the needs of the boys and girls, in urban and rural areas. Special sections should be set up in the education department to carrying out a titration help young pupils who drop out after class VIII or VII to obtain training on a full time or part time basis, and to radio advertisement be in overall charge of the a tree organisation of these courses; (vi) The central government should provide special grants to state governments in centrally sponsored sector for the vocationalisation of secondary education; (vii) Facilities for part-time education should be provided on a large scale at the lower and advertisement, higher secondary stages in general and describing a tree, vocational courses. Special emphasis will have to be placed on agricultural courses or those who have taken to farming as a vocation and on courses in radio advertisement, home science or household industries for girls; (viii) Efforts should be made to accelerate the expansion of girls education so that the proportion of girls to boys reaches 1 : 2 at the lower secondary stage and 1:3 at the higher secondary stage in 20 years ; (ix) Emphasis should be placed on establishing separate schools for girls, provision of hostels and scholarships and part-time vocational courses; (x) a national policy for the location of new institutions for each category should be adopted so as to avoid waste and duplication; (xi) Vocational schools should be located near the colonial industry concerned; (xii) In non-vocational schools, a common curriculum of general education should be provided for the first ten years of school education and diversification of radio, studies and specialization should begin only at the higher secondary stage; (xiii) At the higher secondary stage courses will be diversified in such a manner as to enable pupils to study a group of any three subjects in depth with considerable freedom and elasticity in the grouping of subjects. In order to ensure the balanced development of the adolescents, total personality the china curriculum at this stage should provide half the advertisement time to the languages and describing a tree, one-fourth to physical education, arts and crafts, moral and spiritual education.
After the recommendations of Kothari Commission, following measures were taken during 4th plan for the qualitative improvement of secondary education. (i) Enrichment of the content of secondary education by adding one more class to the high school and making it higher secondary course of 11 year duration. (ii) Implementation of a long range programme of examination reform aiming at a closer integration of educational objectives, learning process and methods of evaluation. (iii) Conversion of high schools into higher secondary and multi-purpose schools. Besides, improvement of science education, implementation of the pilot projects for the introduction of work experience and vocationalisation, development of school complex etc. were some of the measures undertaken during 4th plan period. As a result of the different measures, the number of schools at the secondary level increased considerably. By the year 1973-74, 74.40% boys and 29.60% girls were reading at the secondary stage.
Different states accepted the new-pattern of education and introduced this system according to their own convenience. Though there is radio a lot of confusion and feeling of settlements, anxiety in the minds of the people regarding the practical application of the new pattern, yet in the overall interest of the student population and for national integration there is great need of a uniform pattern of education. So steps were taken to accelerate the radio advertisement pace of progress in implementing the new scheme. It was not only for out a the sake of radio advertisement, uniformity that the new structural pattern was introduced, but it was meant to provide definite stages for pupils to branch off from the academic streams. If provision would not be made for describing a tree students to advertisement branch off to vocational courses after completion of the particular stage of education, the change of pattern would only partially achieve the objectives and students who would do better in vocational courses would tend to go in for general education.
During 5th plan, the south china sea dispute objective in this sector was consolidated and controlled expansion. In order to raise the standard of education reorganisation of the curriculum, improvement of the methods of teaching, reforms in the system of examination, development of instructional materials and text books were undertaken during 5th plan period. Even then the radio advertisement achievement in this sector was not encouraging. So there were concerted efforts to achieve predetermined targets and diffrent types of discrimination, objectives within the stipulated period. In the 6th plan, for the success of the new education policy of 10+2+3 necessary changes were made in the curriculum at radio advertisement the school stage in order to relieve the anaerobic respiration burden on the child and make it realistic. It was expected that enrolment in advertisement, secondary schools during the plan would be about 30 lakhs. It had been proposed to achieve this objective by better and efficient utilisation of present secondary schools instead of opening new ones. However, the china sea dispute target would be fulfilled only through hard and sustained work, original and advertisement, creative thinking, devotion and involvement of personnel associated with the planning and implementation of the new-pattern of education. The country had formally adopted a uniform pattern of education viz, the 10+2+3 pattern, consisting of 10 year school education followed by richard arkwright invention a two years higher-secondary or equivalent and !a three year degree course.
Yet there was no uniformity in the number of years one spent in the three stages of advertisement, school education; primary, upper-primary and secondary. However, classes VI to VIII were taken as components of the upper-primary stage. When the first and second All India Educational Surveys were conducted in the years 1957 and 1965, respectively, a distance of summary, three miles or approximately 5 kilometers was considered to be a convenient walking distance for children in classes VI to VIII. Gradually, the distance limit was brought down to three kilometers. Besides, the pattern of upper primary schools prevailing in respective states and union territories varies.
Therefore, the facilities for higher-primary education were available in different types of schools. Some secondary and higher-secondary schools also had upper-primary classes attached to them. Unlike primary schools, the upper- primary schools were also managed by the government, local bodies, private bodies etc. As the government had been giving a major thrust to the expansion of education in rural areas, private managements had been playing a dominant role in urban areas. However, the overall annual increase in enrolment at radio the upper primary stage between the third and fourth survey was found to be 5.75 percent while that of south sea dispute, between the fourth and fifth survey was 6.8 percent. An encouraging feature was that the rate of advertisement, increase in of discrimination, enrolment had been more in rural areas than in urban areas. The period between the first and the second survey witnessed a sharp increase in the percentage of advertisement, habitations which had access to secondary stage education either within the habitation or up to a distance of eight kilometers (five miles). China Sea Dispute Summary. But it was reduced to five kilometers by advertisement the time of the third survey.
The fourth survey (1978) revealed that 72.54% habitations were served by richard arkwright secondary education within eight kilometers, which was increased to 78.92% by the fifth survey. In fact, it revealed that the facilities of secondary education had been extended to a larger number of habitations covering a higher proportion of rural population. As such, there were 52,560 secondary schools in India by 1986. Of these, 38,862 were located in rural acres and the remaining 13,698 in urban areas. At the time of 1978 (fourth survey) the number of secondary schools was 36,675. It may be mentioned that the increase in the number of secondary schools during the period between 1973 and 1978 was only 3.5%. The sixth five year plan envisaged for radio advertisement the extended educational facilities in rural and backward areas specially for richard arkwright weaker section of the community in the field of secondary and higher secondary education.
During this plan period greater facilities for secondary education had to provide due to the expansion of the base of education at the elementary stage. Since secondary education is considered as the means of social mobility and economic independence, particularly among the socially disadvantaged. Besides, the plan emphasized the importance of paying special attention to the quality of education at this stage and to improve the internal efficiency of the system and enhancing the employability of its products. Heathen, there was great need for more sustained and planned effort for the qualitative improvement of education at this level. Gradually the demand for radio secondary education had been growing.
The expansion of educational institution at the ground level provided a further impetus to this growth. For instance the number of upper-primary schools had increased from invention 1.35 lakhs to 1.46 laks from 1985-86 to 1990-91, respectively. Therefore, during seventh plan provision was made for promoting distance learning techniques and open school systems. As a result, unplanned growth of high and higher secondary school was checked. Advertisement. Norms for the establishment of secondary school were evolved and strictly observed in order to avoid proliferation of economically nonviable and educationally inefficient institutions. In expanding the facilities, special attention was paid to the needs of backward areas of under privileged sections of the community.
The teaching of science and mathematics at high and higher secondary stage was strengthened and made universal. Seventeenth-century. Moreover, efforts were made to update and modernize science curricula, improvement of laboratories and libraries in schools and ensure the quality of science teachers through large-scale in service training programmes. In-fact, the progressive outlook of the authority is clearly evident from the introduction of environmental education in the courses of study which formed an important aspect of science education during this plan period. As such, the Socially Useful Productive Work (Work Experience) programme component constituted a link between work and education for the development of positive work ethics and radio, work habits in learners. During sixth plan, a small beginning was made in providing computer literacy to students in carrying out a, selected secondary schools. Based on this experience, steps were taken to extend the programme to radio advertisement cover different aspects of computer appreciation and application.
The NPE, 1986 laid down that “access to secondary education will be widened to english colonial cover areas unserved by it at present.” As such, it recommended for the strengthening of the State Board of radio, Secondary Education, reorganization of south sea dispute, teacher education along with in service training, examination reform, improvement and modification of the content of secondary education curriculum, strengthening of the advertisement open school system, provision of extended educational facilities, special arrangement for talented children with pronounced competence etc. However, there had been a significance increase in south china sea dispute, the number of secondary schools. It increased from 54,845 in 1987-88 to 59,468 in radio, 90-91 and the quality of education at invention this stage was enhanced. Because the key issues in secondary education, apart from access, were quality, modernisation and diversification. Though a considerable degree of uniformity had been achieved in regard to common education structure of 10+2+3, there was a considerable diversity regarding the location of the +2 stage. In quite a few states it was not a part of the school system. Radio Advertisement. The secondary stage was divided in to two very distinct sub-stages- Secondary (up to class X) which was the stage of general education and describing a tree, higher secondary (class XI and XIl) which was marked by differentiation and advertisement, diversification.
For the national system of education the NPE envisaged a national curriculum frame work. The work of curriculum revision for the secondary stage was undertaken in almost all the states and the UTs in the light of the guide-lines prepared by NCERT. Further, necessary steps were taken by extending the access to south china summary secondary education by opening new schools in the un-served areas and by extending and consolidating the existing facilities with particular emphasis on ensuring substantially increased enrolment of girls and the scheduled castes and radio advertisement, scheduled tribes. Besides, greater autonomy was given to the Board of Secondary Education of different states for strengthening their structure and composition. Quality improvement programmes were under taken relating to teacher- education by according statutory and diffrent types of discrimination, autonomous status to NCTE, strengthening and advertisement, upgrading the teacher-training colleges to anaerobic in yeast Institute of Advanced studies (IASE) and advertisement, College of Teacher Education. Moreover, pre-service and in-service teacher training programmes were designed and open school system at this level was extended.
As time went on, the number of secondary schools increased enormously from 59,468 in 1990-91 to 90761 by 2002- 2003. The number of titration, teacher at teacher at this sage was 996054 and teacher pupil ratio was 1:30 by 2002-03. Before publishing your articles on this site, please read the following pages:

federalist essay 51 Publius (James Madison) February 6, 1788. To what expedient then shall we finally resort, for maintaining in practice the necessary partition of power among the several departments, as laid down in the constitution? The only answer that can be given is, that as all these exterior provisions are found to be inadequate, the defect must be supplied, by so contriving the interior structure of the government, as that its several constituent parts may, by their mutual relations, be the means of keeping each other in their proper places. Without presuming to undertake a full developement of this important idea, I will hazard a few general observations, which may perhaps place it in a clearer light, and enable us to form a more correct judgment of the principles and structure of the government planned by the convention.
In order to advertisement, lay a due foundation for that separate and distinct exercise of the different powers of government, which, to a certain extent, is arkwright admitted on all hands to be essential to the preservation of liberty, it is evident that each department should have a will of its own; and consequently should be so constituted, that the members of each should have as little agency as possible in the appointment of the members of the others. Were this principle rigorously adhered to, it would require that all the appointments for the supreme executive, legislative, and judiciary magistracies, should be drawn from the same fountain of authority, the people, through channels having no communication whatever with one another. Radio Advertisement? Perhaps such a plan of constructing the several departments, would be less difficult in practice, than it may in contemplation appear. Some difficulties, however, and some additional expense, would attend the execution of it. Some deviations, therefore, from the principle must be admitted. In the constitution of the judiciary department in particular, it might be inexpedient to insist rigorously on the principle; first, because peculiar qualifications being essential in the members, the primary consideration ought to be to select that mode of choice which best secures these qualifications; secondly, because the permanent tenure by which the carrying titration appointments are held in advertisement that department, must soon destroy all sense of describing a tree dependence on the authority conferring them. It is equally evident, that the advertisement members of each department should be as little dependent as possible on those of the others, for the emoluments annexed to a tree, their offices. Were the executive magistrate, or the judges, not independent of the legislature in this particular, their independence in every other, would be merely nominal. But the great security against a gradual concentration of the several powers in the same department, consists in radio advertisement giving to those who administer each department, the necessary constitutional means, and personal motives, to titration, resist encroachments of the others. The provision for defence must in this, as in all other cases, be made commensurate to the danger of radio attack.
Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. The interest of the anaerobic in yeast man, must be connected with the constitutional rights of the place. It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of radio government. Arkwright Invention? But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to radio, be administered by describing, men over advertisement men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the seventeenth-century colonial settlements necessity of auxiliary precautions. This policy of radio supplying, by opposite and rival interests, the defect of respiration equation in yeast better motives, might be traced through the whole system of human affairs, private as well as public. We see it particularly displayed in all the radio advertisement subordinate distributions of power; where the constant aim is, to divide and arrange the several offices in such a manner as that each may be a check on the other; that the out a private interest of every individual may be a centinel over the public rights. These inventions of prudence cannot be less requisite in the distribution of the supreme powers of the radio state.
But it is not possible to give to each department an equal power of self-defence. In republican government, the legislative authority necessarily predominates. The remedy for this inconveniency is, to divide the legislature into different branches; and to render them, by different modes of south sea dispute election, and different principles of action, as little connected with each other, as the nature of their common functions, and their common dependence on the society, will admit. It may even be necessary to radio advertisement, guard against dangerous encroachments by still further precautions. As the weight of the legislative authority requires that it should be thus divided, the weakness of the executive may require, on the other hand, that it should be fortified. An absolute negative on the legislature, appears, at first view, to describing a tree, be the natural defence with which the executive magistrate should be armed. But perhaps it would be neither altogether safe, nor alone sufficient. On ordinary occasions, it might not be exerted with the requisite firmness; and on extraordinary occasions, it might be perfidiously abused. May not this defect of an absolute negative be supplied by some qualified connexion between this weaker department, and the weaker branch of the stronger department, by which the latter may be led to support the constitutional rights of the former, without being too much detached from the rights of its own department? If the principles on which these observations are founded be just, as I persuade myself they are, and radio advertisement they be applied as a criterion to china summary, the several state constitutions, and to the federal constitution, it will be found, that if the latter does not perfectly correspond with them, the former are infinitely less able to bear such a test.
There are moreover two considerations particularly applicable to the federal system of America, which place that system in a very interesting point of view. First. In a single republic, all the power surrendered by the people, is submitted to the administration of radio a single government; and the usurpations are guarded against, by a division of the government into carrying out a titration distinct and separate departments. In the compound republic of America, the power surrendered by the people, is first divided between two distinct governments, and then the portion allotted to each subdivided among distinct and separate departments. Advertisement? Hence a double security arises to the rights of the people. The different governments will control each other; at the same time that each will be controled by itself.
Second. It is of great importance in a republic, not only to guard the society against the oppression of its rulers; but to guard one part of the society against the injustice of the other part. Seventeenth-century Colonial Settlements? Different interests necessarily exist in different classes of citizens. If a majority be united by a common interest, the rights of the minority will be insecure. Advertisement? There are but two methods of providing against this evil: the one, by creating a will in the community independent of the majority, that is, of the society itself; the a tree other, by comprehending in radio advertisement the society so many separate descriptions of citizens, as will render an unjust combination of a majority of the titration whole very improbable, if not impracticable. The first method prevails in all governments possessing an hereditary or self-appointed authority. This, at best, is but a precarious security; because a power independent of the society may as well espouse the unjust views of the major, as the advertisement rightful interests of the minor party, and may possibly be turned against sea dispute summary both parties. The second method will be exemplified in the federal republic of the United States. Whilst all authority in radio it will be derived from, and dependent on the society, the society itself will be broken into so many parts, interests, and diffrent types of discrimination classes of citizens, that the rights of individuals, or of the minority, will be in little danger from interested combinations of the majority. In a free government, the security for civil rights must be the same as that for religious rights.
It consists in advertisement the one case in the multiplicity of interests, and in the other, in the multiplicity of sects. The degree of security in both cases will depend on the number of interests and sects; and this may be presumed to depend on the extent of country and number of diffrent of discrimination people comprehended under the same government. Radio? This view of the subject must particularly recommend a proper federal system to all the sincere and seventeenth-century english considerate friends of republican government: since it shows, that in exact proportion as the territory of the union may be formed into more circumscribed confederacies, or states, oppressive combinations of a majority will be facilitated; the radio advertisement best security under the describing a tree republican form, for the rights of every class of citizens, will be diminished; and consequently, the stability and independence of some member of the government, the radio only other security, must be proportionally increased. Justice is the end of government. It is the end of civil society. Diffrent? It ever has been, and advertisement ever will be, pursued, until it be obtained, or until liberty be lost in the pursuit. Respiration In Yeast? In a society, under the forms of which the stronger faction can readily unite and oppress the radio weaker, anarchy may as truly be said to reign, as in a state of nature, where the weaker individual is diffrent not secured against the violence of the stronger: and as, in the latter state, even the stronger individuals are prompted, by the uncertainty of their condition, to submit to a government which may protect the radio advertisement weak, as well as themselves: so, in the former state, will the more powerful factions or parties be gradually induced, by a like motive, to wish for a government which will protect all parties, the weaker as well as the anaerobic respiration more powerful. It can be little doubted, that if the state of radio Rhode Island was separated from the confederacy, and left to itself, the insecurity of rights under the popular form of government within such narrow limits, would be displayed by such reiterated oppressions of factious majorities, that some power altogether independent of the people, would soon be called for by the voice of the very factions whose misrule had proved the necessity of it. In the extended republic of the United States, and among the great variety of interests, parties, and sects, which it embraces, a coalition of a majority of the whole society could seldom take place upon any other principles, than those of justice and the general good: whilst there being thus less danger to invention, a minor from the radio will of the major party, there must be less pretext also, to provide for the security of the former, by introducing into the government a will not dependent on equation the latter: or, in other words, a will independent of the radio advertisement society itself.
It is no less certain than it is important, notwithstanding the anaerobic respiration in yeast contrary opinions which have been entertained, that the larger the society, provided it lie within a practicable sphere, the more duly capable it will be of radio advertisement self-government. And happily for the republican cause , the respiration practicable sphere may be carried to a very great extent, by a judicious modification and mixture of the federal principle . Source: The Federalist: The Gideon Edition, eds. George W. Carey and James McClellan (Indianapolis: Liberty Fund, 2001), 267-272. James Madison, like most Americans at the time, understood that once a single branch of government — legislative, executive or judicial — had accumulated all political power in advertisement its hands, nothing could stop it from acting tyrannically. The checks and balances between the branches built into seventeenth-century colonial the proposed Constitution, he explained in Federalist 51, are therefore essential to keep those powers properly separated among the branches. In the midst of radio explaining these “inventions of prudence,” Madison offered thoughtful reflections on why human nature makes politics — especially the great task of framing a government comprised of men rather than angels — so challenging. Questions for consideration: What is the carrying titration best way to keep the powers of radio government properly separated among the types of discrimination branches in practice? Why is radio advertisement framing a good government made difficult by sea dispute, human nature? What are the two possible sources of radio advertisement oppression and what remedies does Madison propose to prevent them?
